VENTS VPVO air pressurization fans: your safety is our concern!
VENTS introduces a new family of VPVO axial smoke extractor fans with the air capacity of up to 41,000 m3/h. The fans are intended for general ventilation systems with high air flow rate and are suitable for industrial, public, residential and administrative spaces.
Smoke is the primary fire hazard as it contains a host of harmful substances resulting from combustion. Therefore, smoke extraction systems are designed with the primary function of preventing smoke and gases from spreading into the protected spaces. Smoke extractor fans are essential elements of every professionally designed fire-fighting system.
The VENTS VPVO fans are designed for air pressurization in smoke extraction ventilation systems (at temperatures up to 550C). A positive air pressure differential created in stairway enclosures, airlock vestibules and lift shafts helps prevent the spreading of smoke and protect the people using evacuation routes from carbon monoxide poisoning.
VPVO features and advantages
A metal casing with rolled flanges results in outstanding rigidity and minimum clearances between the fan casing and the blades. There is an inspection hatch in the fan casing for easy maintenance. All the casing components are powder coated for improved protection against the potential damage. Thrust is provided by three-phase single-speed electric motors.
The fans can be ordered with individually selected impellers as per the customers’ requirements.
Depending on the standard size and the required air capacity the VPVO smoke extractor fans utilize 6, 8, 10 or 12 bladed impellers for precise matching of fans with the operating point. The specially designed impeller blades ensure high efficiency of the fan while keeping noise well under control. The dynamically balanced impellers with a low weight and mass moment reduce the fan start-up time to a minimum.
Flexible installation
The fans can be installed directly into a ventilation duct or mounted to any flat surface. Floor, wall or ceiling mounting configurations require the O-VPVO carriers to be purchased separately. The units are suitable for installation on rooftops to provide direct supply of outdoor air to the stairway areas.
The VPVO fan performance can be further improved by using the matching accessories (e.g. the O-VPVO carrier, the F-VPVO flange, the VK-VPVO inlet cone as well as the roof adapter and hood).
