Automation: electronics and intelligence

Microcontrollers in the regulating thermostats.

The next stage for the implementation of the programmable microcontrollers in the new products started with manufacturing of the family of the regulating thermostats TSC.

The standard units TSC are designed for all application of the fan series VK, TT, KSA, KSB and heaters HK.

These are the first items with galvanically isolated power supply which is perfomed by means of small-size power transformers that ensures the safe operation of remote temperature or humidity detectors. The units provide for possibility of completing with power circuit elements of the required wattage depending on the applicable load.

Regulating thermostat TSC is the first experience of the application of the microcontrollers produced by the new supplier. Mastering of the technologies for the development of the control units with the help of this microcontroller offers the challenge to use the intelligent chips in the low-cost production.

Microcontrollers for the “smallest ones”

After the application of the new microcontrollers in the regulating thermostats we have developed the first specimen of the controlling unit (usually designated as “timer”) for the most popular domestic fans and now the mass production of these items is going to start. The first domestic fan equipped with so called “onboard computer” will be the version of fan series D of 12 V. The first model will have a microcontroller operating as a timer and the subsequent models will be equipped with a microcontroller for humidity detecting. Moreover, there will be no need for the additional microchips and that has a good impact for the end price formation.

We have developed a special software for self-testing of the goods as well as additional software for semi-automatic programmer pr88 by the time the production of regulating thermostats TSC and timers DT12V should start. These new developments let use the combined programming and testing mode for microcontrollers with few input-output ports.
