ISH 2023, the largest international trade fair for air-conditioning and ventilation technology, took place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in mid-March this year. Ventilation Systems as a part of Blauberg Group traditionally was among the participants of this event.

ISH is the largest international platform for presenting developments in the HVACR industry. This year’s event was focused on innovations in climate protection, responsible and efficient use of natural resources and was held under the motto ‘Solutions for a Sustainable Future’.

For Ventilation Systems, participation in ISH was a great opportunity to showcase its new products to a professional audience, discuss current trends with market players, meet current customers and engage in networking. Over the last few years, the range of product offered by Vents has expanded considerably and complemented with new products, some of which were exhibited at ISH 2023.

The industrial ventilation segment of Vents products was represented by Boost 200 EC energy-efficient inline fan. High airflow capacity (up to 1,250 m³/h) and low noise level make these fans an optimal solution for use in supply and exhaust ventilation systems for commercial, industrial and public spaces. The product has a plastic casing, which allows the fan to be used efficiently in rooms with high humidity. The fan is equipped with an energy-saving EC motor demonstrating high efficiency coefficient (up to 90%) and low energy consumption.

In the decentralized ventilation segment, Vents Brizi high-performance direct-flow room air recuperator was shown for the first time, which is the most modern solution for maintaining a comfortable indoor climate. The device demonstrates high airflow capacity (up to 200 m³/h) and a high recovery factor (up to 97%). The recuperator is a direct-flow device, i.e. it provides a simultaneous supply of fresh air and removal of exhaust air without mixing the flows. The model is equipped with a smart control system and boasts a modern design of the internal unit. All device operation can be controlled via Wi-Fi from mobile devices using a mobile app.

The household ventilation segment was represented by a number of new products, among which Vents Ark smart household fan and Design Concept innovative design system were of particular interest to the visitors.

The Ark fan demonstrates airflow capacity up to 140 m³/h and a noise level starting from 11 dBA. The product is equipped with humidity, carbon dioxide and VOC sensors, which allows the unit to change operating modes independently depending on the air quality and to maintain a comfortable indoor climate 24/7. The Ark fans were on display in three colours – white, black, and blue-yellow.

Design Concept includes high-performance and low-noise Ace and Base fans, the MV 100 FB ventilation grille, the F4 100 FB diffuser and a range of stylish design panels that vary in colour, pattern and texture. A wide selection of panels allows the user to find the optimal fan design to match their bathroom or kitchen interior, and to change it at any time if needed. Interesting detail: company’s stand featured for the first time a complete Design Concept solution for a 150 mm diameter.

Among the new Vents products that also piqued visitors’ interest in the household ventilation segment were Atlant DC and Quiet-dMEV innovative exhaust fans, Vents ATIC PIV supply fan and the already popular Art-Deco decorative grilles.

Atlant DC is an exhaust fan intended for use in multi-storey residential and public buildings, as well as in buildings with a single-duct ventilation system. This fan is intended for installation in kitchens, bathrooms and toilets to ensure proper air exchange in these areas by removing exhaust air through the central ventilation system. The fan boasts a fire retardant casing with a fire damper and is equipped with a DC motor with ultra-low power consumption (up to 18.5 W).

Quiet-dMEV DC is an innovative exhaust fan with an airflow capacity up to 100 m³/h designed for ensuring a high level of comfort for bathrooms, showers, kitchens and other areas in a home. The fan is equipped with a DC motor with low power consumption, has a stylish design, six speeds and is easy to control. An important advantage of Quiet-dMEV DC fan is its quiet operation, which is achieved thanks to a special aerodynamic shape of the impeller and the airflow rectifiers on the inlet spigot.

The Atic PIV fan is used for ensuring forced air supply ventilation. This method of ventilation is one of the most efficient solutions for supplying fresh, purified air into a room, improving air circulation in the room and preventing excessive humidity and mould. The unit continuously supplies fresh, filtered air from the attic into the living space and forces stale air from the inside to the outside.

In addition to new products, Vents also showcased state-of-the-art solutions for equipment integration and control. For example, visitors at the company’s stand had the opportunity to test a number of ventilation devices with WiFi control using Vents Home and Google Home apps. Such solutions significantly extend the possibilities of using Vents ventilation equipment as part of the Smart Home and BMS systems. Visitors also highly appreciated the ability to control ventilation devices using the Google Assistant voice control feature, which is available on mobile devices, the Google Nest smart speaker and other smart devices.

In conclusion, it should be noted that Vents’ participation in ISH 2023 was fully in line with the current trend of environmentally-friendly and cost-efficient products and the concept of sustainable development in general. Most of the showcased Vents products are made from recycled, high-quality plastic, and the devices itself are equipped with highly efficient motors (including EC motors) with low energy consumption and heat exchangers to keep rooms at a comfortable temperature and thus reduce the load on heating and air conditioning systems.
