VKT operating principle
The fans feature asynchronous motors running on roller bearings for reliable and trouble-free operation and are equipped with built-in thermal protection. The compartment housing the motor is isolated from the hot air stream and has ventilation openings for efficient heat dissipation. The rotating blades produce centrifugal force which helps suck in the dirty air which is safely extracted outside. A purpose-designed impeller with backward-curved blades minimizes soot and carbon deposits for easy maintenance. VKT fans are mounted on the roof on the top section of the chimney. The units are connected via a transformer or a thyristor speed regulator for draft regulation and, consequently, maximizing the fireplace efficiency.
